Before I left today, I told my family and Peter that they were not allowed to cry when saying goodbye. They each strongly held up their end of the bargain and said their nice goodbyes. I, on the other hand did no such thing. Although I wouldn’t say I cried, my departure was definitely a tearful farewell. Nevertheless, I gave my hugs and kisses, and got on the security line to quickly regain my composure and start my solo journey to Bolivia.
I anticipate a month of excitement, nervousness, growth, and perhaps a little self-discovery – or as much as one can learn about the self in 4 weeks. Ok, so that was my brief philosophical moment.
